In the lush green state of Kerala, India, lived a young girl named Ammu. She loved helping her Amma (mother) prepare the traditional Kerala feast served on banana leaves.
One day, while walking home from school, Ammu noticed an old man sitting by the roadside. He looked tired and hungry. Ammu's heart filled with compassion.
She hurried home and told her Amma about the old man. Without hesitation, Amma said, "Let's prepare an extra banana leaf meal for him."
Together, they cooked rice, sambar, avial, and payasam. Ammu carefully arranged the food on a fresh banana leaf and, with her Amma's permission, took it to the old man.
The old man's eyes lit up at the sight of the meal. He blessed Ammu, saying, "Your kindness is as nourishing as this food."
As Ammu walked home, she felt a warmth in her heart. She realized that sharing not only filled empty stomachs but also brought joy to both the giver and the receiver.
From that day on, Ammu and her family always prepared a little extra, ready to share with anyone in need.
Moral: A simple act of kindness can brighten someone's day and fill your heart with joy.
